Synopsis Full Movie Java Heat :

The guys who helped populate the Twilight universe have at least a few years of job offers coming their respective ways, and Kellan Lutz is saying yes to as many as he can while he's still under 30 and tight-bodied. Solely going off of Java Heat's incredibly confusing trailer, we're thinking Lutz's reunion with his Immortals co star Mickey Rourke might make that movie seem worthy of a Criterion Collection release in comparison. Thing is: he was rather good in Generation Kill and I hope some filmmakers remember that.

At a time when relations between the West and Islam are dangerously tense, Java Heat opens amidst the aftermath of a terrorist attack in Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim nation. Java Heat centers on Jake (Lutz), a reckless American tough guy who becomes embroiled in the turmoil ensuing the attacks, which killed the country's much beloved Sultana. Jake is bent on vengeance but quickly finds the world a more complicated place than he can solve with violence alone. Lost among labyrinths of religious, political and cultural havoc, Jake must ally with cerebral Muslim detective Hashim (rising Indonesian star Ario Bayu), who handles Jake more like a suspect than a partner. The uneasy friendship leads to a treacherous man hunt for the attack's real instigator, a new breed of klepto terrorist (Rourke), who is even more twisted and terrifying than the Jihadist terrorists he hides behind.

Alex Cross follows the young homicide detective/psychologist (Tyler Perry), from the worldwide best-selling novels by James Patterson, as he meets his match in a serial killer (Matthew Fox). The two face off in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, but when the mission gets personal, Cross is pushed to the edge of his moral and psychological limits in this taut and exciting action thriller.

Sure the title of the movie is akin to the "Tug Toner", but Tom Cruise's reunion with Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote and produced Valkyrie marks the beginning of creative marriage between star and filmmaker: McQuarrie wrote the All You Need Is Kill screenplay and just might write and direct the fifth M:I outing. But here McQuarrie takes a second turn behind the camera as director of the adaptation of Lee Child's novel, which has been on the Paramount lot since 2008. It's a tall order to make a movie as universally entertaining as M:I4, but if the world embraces Cruise as homicide investigator Jack Reacher, there's a bounty of other Reacher adventures from which to choose. But this will be the only one bold enough to cast Werner Herzog as the villain.

THE struggle to win in a nation consumed by loss is one of the themes at the center of “Killing Them Softly” (due Nov. 30 from the Weinstein Company), a crime drama set during the 2008 election season, as the economic crisis is unfolding. Presidential addresses and campaign speeches play on television sets in the background throughout a movie in which sound is used in uncharacteristic ways to augment the narrative.

Directed by Andrew Dominik (“The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”) and adapted from the George V. Higgins novel “Cogan’s Trade,” the film is populated by small-time gangsters (including Scoot McNairy and Ben Mendelsohn in a cast that also includes Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini and Ray Liotta) who dream grandly but don’t always proceed wisely. 

“Crime stories, to some extent, always felt like the capitalist ideal in motion,” Mr. Dominik said recently, speaking by phone from Los Angeles. “Because it’s the one genre where it’s perfectly acceptable for the characters to be motivated solely by money.”
