Synopsis The Impossible Movie :

I've had my eye on Juan Antonio Bayona's English language debut because I love projects that maintain a low profile throughout their production. While sensitive to the traumatizing real world event that inspired his story of a family working to survive a natural disaster, it's the scope of the visual effects and the presence of actual real lead actors that have me stoked for a hopefully thoughtful action/drama.

Maria, Henry and their three sons begin their winter vacation in Thailand, looking forward to a few days in tropical paradise. But on the morning of December 26th, as the family relaxes around the pool after their Christmas festivities the night before, a terrifying roar rises up from the center of the earth. As Maria freezes in fear, a huge wall of black water races across the hotel grounds toward her.
