A polarizing Rob Zombie film is not a bad thing, especially when its believers liken it to the work of Kenneth Anger and Roman Polanski. Seems as though Zombie has shifted gears in a way that also aligns with Ti West's pacing with The Innkeepers and The House of the Devil, so people who want more of RZ's cartoon horror psychedelia might want to pass on his latest. And genre purists who think Zombie is a complete hack based on his prior body of work might be intrigued by the presence of icons Judy Geeson, Pat Quinn, and Dee Wallace playing nefarious relatives.
