I've read some rough reviews of this New York City set indie (this one wins) that focuses on the ennui of a Keanu Reeves character, which could mean there's a high profile new offering for people who enjoy hate watching film.

After partying in New York City last night, John and his beautiful girlfriends Mia and Violet form an intimate bond as their deepest secrets from their past are revealed. Friendships are tested and compromises are made as these three friends prepare to do it all again tonight.

Stars : Imogen Poots, Penn Badgley and Norbert Leo Butz.Genre : Drama.
Runtime : 99 minute.

Synopsis Full Movie Greetings from Tim Buckley : With "Gossip Girl" in his past, Penn Badgley, like Derek Zoolander before him, is pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And he plan on finding out what that is. We hear his closing performance as Jeff Buckley proves there's a career here if he can continue to find the right film projects.

In 1991, a young musician named Jeff Buckley (Penn Badgley, "Gossip Girl," MARGIN CALL) rehearses for his public singing debut at a Brooklyn tribute concert for his father, the late folk singer Tim Buckley. Struggling with the legacy of a man he barely knew, Jeff finds solace in a relationship with an enigmatic young woman (Imogen Poots, 28 WEEKS LATER) working at the show.

As they explore New York City, their adventures recall glimpses of Tim's (Ben Rosenfield) own 60s heyday, as he drives cross country with a girlfriend and finds himself on the verge of stardom. Leading up to the now legendary show that launched Jeff's own brilliant career, GREETINGS FROM TIM BUCKLEY is a poignant mirror portrait of father and son, two of the most beloved singer songwriters of their generations.

Synopsis Full Movie What Maisie Knew :

Directing duo Scott McGehee and David Siegel have come to specialize in touchy family dynamics in films such as Bee Season and The Deep End, and their latest, an adaptation of Henry James's novel, pits Julianne Moore against Steve Coogan. Something tells me this might make a better play than movie.

A contemporary reimagining of Henry James' novel, WHAT MAISIE KNEW tells the story of a captivating little girl's struggle for grace in the midst of her parents' bitter custody battle. Told through the eyes of the title's heroine, Maisie navigates this ever widening turmoil with a six year old's innocence, charm and generosity of spirit.

‘Something in the Air’ With Clément Métayer, Lola Créton and Felix Armand.

More about Movie

Director : Olivier Assayas.
Writen : Olivier Assayas (screenplay).
Stars : Clément Métayer, Lola Créton and Felix Armand.Genre : Drama.
Runtime : 122 minute.

Synopsis Full Movie Something in the Air : You can always count on director Olivier Assayas when it comes to a historical narrative his Carlos the Jackal mini series was masterful, so we're kinda breathless awaiting his look at the era of Charles de Gaulle and a politically shifting France.

On behalf of Sundance Selects, you and a guest are invited to a screening of SOMETHING IN THE AIR, the newest film by French filmmaker Olivier Assayas. Following his critical triumphs, SUMMER HOURS and CARLOS, Assayas' semi autobiographical new feature is a vibrant, incisively crafted story of a young man's artistic awakening in the politically turbulent French student movement of the early '70s. In a nod to his earlier film COLD WATER, Assayas' surrogate Gilles (newcomer Clement Metayer) is a graduating high school student in Paris deeply involved in the counterculture of the time.

While Gilles begins to realize that his interests lie more in the revolutions in music and art, he finds himself pulled into ever more dangerous political protests by the people around him, especially his radicalized girlfriend (Lola Créton of GOODBYE FIRST LOVE). Illuminating and elegiac, Assayas' story celebrates that thrilling, evanescent moment in history when young people could feel revolution just within their grasp.
