Synopsis Stream Movies Kon-Tiki :

The movie based on the adventures of Norwegian ethnographer and explorer Thor Heyerdal faced the seemingly impossible task of facing Amour in the Best Foreign Language Oscar race. Now off the awards circuit, this well received new project can stand on its own merits. Co directors Joachim Rönning and Espen Sandberg are set to make a Hollywood project next with a script currently titled Spectral.

Kon-Tiki was the name of a tiny balsa wood raft, constructed by Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl. It was Heyerdahl's contention that pre Columbian Polynesian natives had regularly made trips across the ocean in similar rafts. To prove his theory, Heyerdahl set sail in the Kon-Tiki in 1947, successfully completing a 4300 mile journey from Peru to Tahiti. Filmed en route with 16 millimeter camera equipment, Kon Tiki was originally released in Sweden in tandem with the publication of Heyerdahl's book about the expedition. The English language version, narrated by sportscaster Ben Grauer, was prepared by producer Sol Lesser and distributed by RKO Radio.

After the death of her husband, Dr. Cara Harding's (Julianne Moore) faith in God has been shaken, but not her belief in science. In an attempt to open her up to accepting unexplainable psychiatric theories, her father introduces her to Adam, a patient with multiple personalities who takes on some of the physical characteristics of his other personalities. Cara quickly discovers that Adam's other personalities are murder victims and the more she finds out about him and his past, the closer she and her loved ones are to becoming murder victims themselves.

His involvement with pro Pakistan demonstrations are called into question as is his connection to a possibly extremist student. After another attack, Changez's link to the student implicates him indirectly to the group responsible, and he is forced to decide on a country, a way of life, and where he belongs.

This absurdist premise feels as though it could have sprung out from the Coen Bros. fully formed, but in fact it's a true story adapted by the writing team of Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who have graduated from the crusty Narnia franchise and retooled themselves as Marvel specialists.
